Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi everyone. I am so excited. My Mom is finally home from her LONG trip. Plus, today is her birthday! I won't tell you how old she is....but I can tell you she is older than me. :)

Tonight I spent extra time playing with Mom on the couch.

She is REALLY tired from her trip and she is sleeping at very strange times. Dad says she has something called jet-lag. I don't know what that is, but I decided to give Mom extra licks to make her feel better. Mom smiled, so I know I made her really happy. :)

Mom has been gone for two weeks. Don't tell her, but I was kind of mad at her for leaving me. I know she has to work, but I wish she could stay home with me. Dad takes really good care of me, but a few days after she left I decided to show him I missed Mom by climbing on one of my boxes, jumping up my play gate, and then hopping onto the top of my food cart. I didn't think I could do it....but I made it all the way to the top! I was so excited that I spilled my entire food container on the floor. It made a HUGE mess and I could tell Dad was NOT happy with me. He put me in my cage and didn't let me out to play as long as he usually does for a few days. I guess that was my punishment for spilling my food.

Mom was away to work in China and India with her friend Amy. Here are a few photos from Mom's trip. You can click on the links to learn more about the places she visited.

Happy Caucus Day!

Today is a very important day here in Iowa. It is caucus day!

It seems like the only news on TV in recent weeks has been about the Iowa caucus. Mom says the caucus is important because it is the first hurdle people must jump if they want to become president of the United States.

I guess all of the candidates from both the Republican and Democrat parties have visited Iowa (and Muscatine) many, many times in the past few months. Mom says the candidates are hoping Iowans will support them at the caucus tonight. I am not sure I understand how the caucus really works. Mom tried to explain it to me but I was still very confused. What I do know is that it is really important for people to participate in the caucus. I told Dad I wanted to go to the caucus with him, but he says rabbits are not allowed to caucus. Darn!

I might not be able to go to the caucus, but I can tell you who I would support if I could.

Based on what I've heard on TV and from Dad, I know John Edwards would work really hard to make America a better place for rabbits. And I know he would make sure all bunnies in America have an endless supply of berry yogurt drops.

Good luck tonight from the "Rabbits for Edwards" group!
